Question:
What kinds of payments does Iris Noir Boutique accept?
Answer:
As most online goth clothing stores, we accept credit cards, money orders, and Paypal. We also accept Western Union.
We do *not* accept personal checks or cash.
Question:
How long will it take to receive my items?
Answer:
All of our goth clothing and accessories are in stock, ready to be shipped, and we usually ship within two business days
of the date on which the payment was received. This means that if you are in the US,
your order will arrive to you within two weeks after the payment date,
depending on the shipping option you choose.
The most popular shipping option for domestic orders, priority mail,
usually takes less than a week to arrive. Domestic parcel post mail, the second most popular option,
might take up to two weeks.
International orders using first class mail are usually received within two and a half weeks. However,
please note that since international orders have to go through your
country's postal system, the delivery dates might vary considerably and are not within our control.
Question:
I have a really important goth event in three days that I need this item for. Is it possible to expedite the delivery?
Answer:
Yes, we offer expedited delivery through USPS Express mail, which usually takes 1 business day for domestic
orders and 3-5 business days for international orders.
If you choose this option, your order will be considered urgent and will be shipped the
next business day. To use this option, simply choose it at checkout.
Question:
I'm buying a gift. Is it possible to gift wrap my order?
Answer:
All of our orders come gift wrapped in beautiful black tissue paper, so you don't need to request special gift wrapping for your goth goodies.
If you would like to add a message, just indicate so in the comments field of your order and we'll add your message for free (it will be printed on a simple white paper and attached to the items).
Question:
I am an international customer, how do I find out how much it will cost to ship my goth items to me?
Answer: The fastest and easiest way to see our shipping charges is to use the shipping calculator located in the shopping cart. The same exact options are going to be available to you when you go through the checkout. If you have any additional questions about shipping your gothic goodies,
you are always welcome to e-mail us using our 'contact us' form.
Question:
I am an international customer, will I be able to track my package if I choose First Class Mail service to my country?
Answer: Full tracking with First Class Mail International service is currently only available to the following countries: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, and Switzerland. First class mail international packages shipped to other countries can *not* be fully tracked and might take up to 2 months to arrive, depending on
your country's postal service.
Question:
I am an international customer and I live in a country where packages get
lost/stolen a lot (e.g. Italy, etc.). Is it possible to insure my beautiful goth clothes in case they get lost or damaged?
Answer: Yes, in most cases it will be possible to insure
an international package. Now even most first class mail international packages can be insured! To insure your package, simply put
please insure in the comments field of your order. Please note that for some high risk countries, like Russia, insurance for first class mail is currently unavailable. If you would like your package to be insured and your country is one of the few for which insurance with first class mail is not available, we will notify you immediately once we receive your order.
Question: I seem to have a problem receiving messages
from you, including order updates and/or my lost password. What should I do?
Answer:
First and foremost, check your spam filter to make sure that our e-mails
did not get caught there. If you still do not see our messages (and this is
more likely to happen if you are using AOL), you can always try to contact
us using our alternate e-mail address IrisNoirBoutique@gmail.com.
Question: My order status is marked as preparing
[Paypal IPN]. What does that mean?
Answer:
It means that we are still waiting for your credit card or paypal
payment to go through. If you would like to buy the items you checked
out, please try paying again or contact us if you are running into
technical difficulties doing so and we will try to find a way to
resolve the situation. For your convenience, we usually leave the orders
marked with
preparing [Paypal IPN] in our system for a few hours. However, if the
payment is not received after that period of
time, these orders are deleted.
Question:
Do you have a physical location or are you entirely an online store?
Answer:
At the present moment we are an online only store.
Question:
I am in the Boston area. Do I have to pay for shipping or can I pick up my gothic clothing items
directly from you?
Answer:
Although we do not have a physical
location as of now, we do occasionally vend at some
goth events in Cambridge/Boston area, such as XMortis. You can always pick your item
up from
us (and even try it on) there. We are pretty flexible when it comes
to accommodating our buyers, so other options might be available as well.
To arrange a pick up, please use our
contact us form.
Question:
I see measurements listed in all of your descriptions. Are those the
official manufacturers' measurements or the actual measurements of the
garments?
Answer:
From our
experience as an online goth clothing retailer, who have been dealing with companies like Lip Service and Heavy Red for several years,
we
know that even items made by the same company can run bigger or
smaller depending on the line, the material used, etc. The
measurements you see in our descriptions, therefore, are the
measurements of the actual garment we carry taken by hand.
Yes, that's right! We actually measure each size of each style we sell in our boutique. Finally, you say, a
site that cares about how the items fit! (Please note that, although our measuring techniques improve your
chances of getting clothing that will look good on you, we cannot fully guarantee a perfect fit 100% of
the times.
As with any online purchase, please use common sense and your best judgement when ordering from us!).
Question:
I would like to use your pictures/descriptions/measurements to sell an
item that I originally purchased from you. Is it Ok for me to just go
ahead without asking your first?
Answer:
No, all the pictures and descriptions, including
measurements, are the property of Iris Noir Boutique. We understand
that it might be convenient for you to use our pictures when reselling your item.
However, if you choose to do so, please give us full credit and
*under no circumstances* cut out or erase the Iris Noir logo on the pictures.
We hope you will respect all the hard work that goes into this site!
If you have any further questions about our policy, please
contact us using our 'contact us' form.
Question:
I would like to exchange links with you. Would you be interested?
Answer:
Yes! We would love to exchange links with any gothic or steampunk related web site. Web sites that are not related to either gothic or steampunk subcultures might also be of interest to us, although it will depend of the web site. To propose a link exchange, please use our 'contact us' form.
